At The Conference: President Byerly’s Challenge
11/13/2025

The American Society of Agricultural Consultants (ASAC) held their annual conference in Indianapolis, IN in early November with an A-list of speakers from key ag organizations across the country. Summaries of their presentations will be included in future blogs.

It is important for professional organizations to occasionally step back from their day-to-day activities, review their current deliverables to their profession and then take a deliberate and thoughtful look to the future. ASAC’s incoming President, Abby Byerly, provided that vision with specific objectives and initiatives.

Some of those initiatives include:
Updating the website to ensure it is easily navigable and valuable for users.
Enhance the organization’s social media focus.
Cultivate the membership’s experience and engagement in their organization.
Encourage each member to review their purpose for involvement in the organization and how it can better impact them and their clients.

Byerly closed with, “We believe in agriculture that lasts. Not just for one operation. Not just for one generation. But for the long haul.”

Thanks for reading these blogs and considering the value that ASAC membership can bring to you and your clients.
