ASAC Conference Details Shaping Up!

https://riskmitigators.net/paige-gilligan-bio/) , are among the speakers slated to make presentations at the 2023 Annual Conference of the American Society of Agricultural Consultants (ASAC) in Fresno, Calif., November 5-7. Jacobson will be the featured presenter at the ASAC Banquet on Monday evening, providing an overview of the state of the ag industry in Fresno County. Monday morning, Wittman will share his “Insights and Take-homes from Four Decades of Consulting,” while Gilligan will offer the organization’s required course on “Ethics in Ag Consulting” Tuesday morning, for those who are acquiring or maintaining their Certified Ag Consultant (CAC) designations.
Water issues will be well covered by a panel discussion Monday afternoon, in addition to a tour on Tuesday afternoon to the Fresno State California Water Institute, CIT and WET Center. The panel, entitled “Water Rights and Regulations,” will feature Don Wright of
WaterWrights.net, Mike Ming with Alliance Ag Services, and Elizabeth Jonasson from the Westlands Water District. The tour will provide an overview of the academic/industry partnership for ag tech and water.
Other presentations will include the latest in autonomous ag technology by Alon Ascher, chief business officer for Blue White Robotics, as well as a macro-economic update by the San Francisco Federal Reserve and insights on legal issues by the National Ag Law Center.
Additional tours on Tuesday afternoon will feature processing and packaging facilities, a “green waste” recycling plant, and a winery with a wine tasting.
