ASAC Consultant Panel: A Must See at the ASAC Conference

Whether you are a new or experienced consultant, or are considering becoming an Ag Consultant, a unique session will be included in the 2025 ASAC Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Three ASAC members who are experienced consultants will be offering their advice and taking questions during a session titled, “What I Wish I Knew Then/What I Know Now about Ag Consulting.”

Whether you are a new or experienced consultant, or are considering becoming an Ag Consultant, a unique session will be included in the 2025 ASAC Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Three ASAC members who are experienced consultants will be offering their advice and taking questions during a session titled, “What I Wish I Knew Then/What I Know Now about Ag Consulting.”
The participants will share their experiences on a variety of topics including:
1. How did you find your first clients and what were the initial actions you took that helped grow your business?
2. What personal skills, behaviors, attitudes, etc. did you need to learn about yourself during your early years of consulting?
3. What were some of the adjustments to your initial business strategy that you soon realized you had to make to maximize your deliverables, and/or reach your potential as a consultant?
4. If you were to start your business today, what would you do differently?
The answers to these questions will flow through the life of an experienced consultant, and each panelist will add personal insights into additional topics.
The panel will be moderated by Margy Eckelkamp of Farm Journal, whose broad experience of agricultural topics and professional interactions with many of agriculture’s top business leaders will enhance the discussion.
